No matter what your interests, there is something in the upper Mountains for you to do.

Megalong Valley is famous for its horse-riding - there are several trail riding companies nearby. For bushwalkers, there are walks as short as 300m or as long as the Six Foot Track to Jenolan Caves. The historic Tea Rooms offer wonderful home cooked meals.

Blackheath (15 minutes drive) has restaurants, cafes, galleries, antiques, golf, extensive bushwalking trails, a swimming compex, and open gardens.

Katoomba (20 minutes drive) has the Three Sisters, Scenic World, and a large shopping centre.

Then there is the Zig Zag Railway at Clarence, Jenolan Caves, or even the wine district of Mudgee, if you want to go further afield.
