Home Garden - before Garden - during Kitchen - before Kitchen - after Bathroom - before |
The garden at Blackheath was the previous owner's passion. She planted many hundreds of plants that thrived to the extent that the land was almost jungle-like when we bought it in 2007. Many of the trees were not really appropriate for the site, so with the support of council we cleared most of the block in mid-2011. Out the front of the house alone there was about a dozen rhododendrens. There was also a large bank of azaelas, fruit trees, dozens of natives of all shapes and sizes, lots of roses, and literally thousands of bulbs. Amongst the larger trees, there was 20 conifers, 4 eucalypts, 5 maples, and others including a spruce! |
