In June 2011 we hired Nathan from Warrimoo Kitchens to design us a new kitchen. After much discussion we decided to take out the fuel stove and use the space to house an electric oven and gas cooktop. Nathan built cabinetry within the existing chimney and our plumber, Howard, bought gas up through the floor in preparation for the new appliances.

The heart of the new kitchen is the large island. The wall between the island and the fireplace in the lounge will go as part of the opening up of the space in 2012 but until then the walkway on the eastern side of the island is only for 'skinny's!
